Private Gerard H Tasker

Born 26 March 1925 and volunteered from the Royal Artillery. He attended RAF Ringway for his Parachute Jump Instruction. Course 68 which ran from 14-27 June 1943. His instructor noted that Ged was " cheerful, hard working type. Will do well in a stick"

Ged was a radio operator in 3 Platoon, A Company, 4th Battalion, 2nd Independent Parachute Brigade. 

He served in Southern France, Greece and Palestine. 

Gerard left the army 22 May 1947.
