Lance Bombadier John Charles Wainwright served with 4 Airlanding Anti-Tank Battery, RA, and took part in the D Day landings in Normandy, in June 1944.L/Bdr Wainwright was killed on 7 June 1944, aged 33. He is now buried in Ranville Churchyard, near the War Cemetery, Normandy.
