Lance Corporal Alexander Hickey from Glasgow served with 12 Platoon, D Company 1 PARA.L/Cpl Hickey died, aged 20 years, in a road traffic accident in Cyprus on 7 October 1956.

He was buried at Nicosia (Waynes Keep) Military Cemetery, Cyprus. But his body exhumed and repatriated to UK on 2 November 1956 and re-buried in St Kentigerns Cemetery, Larkhill, Glasgow on 19 Novemebr 1956.
