Lance Sergeant Alfred Donald White served with the 2nd Airborne Battalion, Ox and Buck LI and took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy on 5-6 June 1944.L/Sgt White died on 7 June, aged 24 years old. He is now buried at Bayeux War Cemetery, Normandy.
