James Phillips was the son of John and Margaret Phillips, of Falkirk, Stirlingshire; husband of Margaret Phillips, of Blackmill, Falkirk.After successfully completing his parachute training, Lance Sergeant Phillips was posted to 6 (Airborne) Armed Regiment, Reconnaissance Corps, Royal Armoured Corps where he served in Palestine.
L/Sgt Phillips was killed on the 10 November 1945 and is now buried in Ramleh War Cemetery, Israel.
