Airborne Assault MuseumAlan joined A Company 4 Para in January 1983 following selection at Catterick camp.
He went on to complete P Company in Aldershot in February followed by a passing out parade at Ripon. Alan then joined A company 3 Platoon and gained his wings in the May of 83.
Alan served until 1986 when he left A company.
