Colin Bragg was born in Dorchester, Dorset. He was the son of a sports outfitter.
Colin enlisted on 5 May 1943 in Bradford. He was posted to The 12th Devons, 6th Airborne Div. and took part in Operation Varsity. He was towed out in a Horsa glider.
After the war he returned home, and ran a sports shop with his father.
