Following conscription, Kenneth George Arnold qualified as a military parachutist at RAF Upper Heyford on Course 223 which ran from 18 August to 4 September 1947 and was initially posted to the Training and Holding Battalion Aldershot.He was later posted to a Parachute Battalion with 6th Airborne Division in Palestine and went onto serve with 1 PARA in Germany with the British Army of the Rhine, before demobilisation in 1949.

Kenneth G Arnold passed away suddenly on 6 January 1982.
