Charles Thomas Penfold was the husband of Sarah Bridget Penfold, of Deptford, London.After suuccessfully completing his parachute training, Corporal Penfold was posted to 1 (Airborne) Battalion, The Royal Ulster Rifles where he served in Palestine.

He was killed on the 25 October 1945 and is now buried in Ramleh War Cemetery, Israel.
