Verdun Rhydderch was a Driver in the Royal Army Service Corps, and served with Airborne Forces during the Second World War.In September 1944, he was serving with 250 (Airborne) Light Composite Company, RASC in 3 Platoon and took part in the first lift to Arnhem on 17 September, during Op Market Garden.
