Corporal James Mathewson was from Leven in Fife, and saw service with the REME in the Canal Zone, Egypt, between 1953 and 1954. Corporal James Mathewson went on to serve with D Coy, 15th Parachute Battalion between 1962 and 1965.
He passed away on 14 August 1995. His son Stuart Mathewson also went on to serve with the 15th Parachute Battalion.
