Lenny Roberts joined the 15 PARA (SV) in September 1972, gaining his wings in at RAF Abingdon in 1973.He served with A Company, 15 PARA (SV) until the mid-1980s, before he re-badged to the REME as an armourer.

Cpl Roberts served with 15 PARA (SV) as the battalion armourer until September 1991.
