Lance Corporal Patrick Joseph O'Connor served with the 1st (Airborne) Battalion, Royal Ulster Rifles and took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy on 5-6 June 1944.L/Cpl O'Connor died on 7 June, aged 24 years old. He is now buried at Bayeux War Cemetery, Normandy.
