Steve Burke joined 1982. He went on to become a Platoon commander in 2 PARA. Steve was parachute jump trained at RAF Brize Norton when he was then a Lt, in November 1983. 

Highlights of his career included Fort Lewis, XMG tour, then Long Look with 3 RAR in Australia. Recruit Platoon commander then exchange appointment with Canadian Airborne Regiment.

Back to 2 PARA as Ops Officer and Fermanagh tour, then OC C (Bruneval) Company.

Staff College. OC C Company 1 PARA then staff appointment in Directorate Military Operations, MOD.

Left the Army September 1998.
