Lance Corporal John David Barratt served with A Company, the 2nd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment (2 PARA).
21 year old L/cpl Barratt was killed during a NATO Airborne exercise in Thrace, Turkey. He died during a parachute accident on 27 September 1973.
L/Cpl Barratt is buried in Pleasington Cemetery, Blackburn.
