Airborne Assault Museum
The Military Cross is granted in recognition of acts of exemplary gallantry during active operations against the enemy on land. The MC serves as the third level award for gallantry for all ranks of the British Army. Bars can be awarded to symbolise additional acts of gallantry meriting the award.
